About Leslie Dollman

I have spent 30 years working in the field of Human Services in a variety of administrative roles; from secretary to IT professional. In my experience, IT in Human Services must be actively engaged with the team because we are often the ones leading the charge into the world of technology. To effectively support the team, we must understand the need and help to find ways that technology can help to meet it. In my current role, I wear many different hats - I'm a researcher, a buyer, a programmer, a troubleshooter, a problem-solver, and occasionally a superhero. But I'm also a teacher, a mentor, a cheerleader, and an advocate. I believe in technology for good, that helps people perform their duties more efficiently, saves money, and improves the overall effectiveness of an organization. I am a big believer that a lack of funding should not stop a great idea and I will work tirelessly to find a way to help turn a great idea into reality, regardless of funding. I am creative, positive, fun and have excellent problem-solving skills. To quote Vanilla Ice (and who wouldn't?)"if there's a problem, yo, I'll solve it!" I believe in teamwork because one person can't possibly think of everything and each member of a team brings their unique perspective to the table. I'm also comfortable working on my own without much supervision. I'm never happy with the status quo and am always looking for a way to improve processes. I like hard work and take pride in a job well-done. When I got my very first job, my mother told me that I had a choice - I could be an employee, or I could be an asset. Throughout my career, I have always endeavored to be the latter. That's a little about me.
