About Leslie Evans

Leslie is a born and raised Calgarian and is currently the Executive Director for The Federation of Calgary Communities an umbrella organization for the 149 Calgary based Community Associations. She has worked in the not-for-profit sector for 23 years with thirteen years experience in various executive director roles. She has volunteered for many organizations and worked with various Boards. Leslie has also worked with The Calgary Foundation as a Community Grants Associate and as a consultant to the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Leslie is a proven voluntary sector leader with experience in strategic, business and operational planning. She is skilled in developing new programs and initiatives, convening and collaborating groups, volunteer and human resource management, fundraising and increasing organizational effectiveness. Leslie is seen by her peers as an effective leader, relationship builder, communicator, manager and change agent. Leslie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Management, a Certificate in Human Resource Development and a Masters Degree in Management focusing on Voluntary Sector Leadership.
