About Leslie Kerner

I am an innovative senior leader with extensive experience in starting and building businesses and products, especially in the K-12 education market. I have spent most of my career in education technology organizations, primarily Amplify (formerly Wireless Generation, Inc.). Within WGen/Amplify, I was a serial "intrapreneur", launching new ventures and growing successful and profitable businesses and products. I started the professional services division, providing in-person and online training, professional development, and consulting services to educators. I grew this business from a support function into a nearly $20M business serving schools in every state. I also led the development on innovative products, such as online tutorials in English/Language Arts, math, and assessment literacy, blended learning courses, and Professional Learning Maps, which provides online, personalized professional development pathways for teachers. My experience includes strategic planning, product management, business development, and operations. But regardless of the company I'm working with or the role I'm playing, my strongest leadership skills include the ability to bring a team of people together and build something from scratch-something they can believe in. This means working collaboratively, communicating clearly and honestly, and developing talent and teams. I am passionate about not only the schools and students I have served, but the teams and organizations I have built.
