Have you ever found something amazing that you were never even looking for? This is what happened to me when I moved into the role of a Performance Coach. I woke up every morning eager to log in and start one on one meetings. Each success from my coachees was food for my soul and added fuel to the fire to be a better coach. Finally, I discovered the power of a workforce that had the opportunity to be coached. The global pandemic has opened my eyes to what it takes to be a leader. Industries are struggling to retain and recruit experienced and productive employees. Not because they don't offer great careers; it's simply because the pandemic has tipped the balance of the work/life scales. Potential employees now need that added layer of motivation to maintain pre-pandemic productivity. Every company needs someone like myself to manage its team(s) at this point in history. I'm successful because I follow five core leadership areas. Care 2. Listen 3. Clarify 4. Communicate 5. Appreciate My last 13 years have been in the oil & energy sector, which has steadily declined. The decline has created tighter budgets and leaner teams while maintaining the same level of customer service service. I've created process improvements, managed automation tools, led teams, coached groups/individuals, and am currently managing an AR team responsible for more than half a billion. That's business now; here's the personal. I'm happily married with two children that are growing up way too quickly. Spring, Summer, and Fall are when I spend countless hours outside enjoying nature. In the winter, I spent most of my time reading. There is not much in this world that can beat a good book and a great imagination.
