About Leslie McElroy

I am a curious and customer-focused business analyst with a strong background in agile product development. My desire to learn more about the customer enables me to translate their needs into actionable processes and features. I thrive in a collaborative environment, always seeking input from stakeholders and and technical partners. My goal is to become a Product Manager, although I have already been practicing this discipline over the last 3 years in my analyst roles. I am also passionate about process-improvement, standardization, and documentation. I've quickly become the go-to Confluence Page creator on the team. My passion for mentorship and career growth enabled me to become a leader of the Women in Tech community at Nordstrom. Having come from a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Business, I had a lot to learn in Technology. I had many mentors in Product Management, and wanted to develop a program that would help my colleagues obtain mentorship in their roles. In partnership with another WINTech leader, I successfully launched a pilot mentorship program for over 40 participants in Spring 2023. During a time of a lot of uncertainty and organizational shifts, this program helped connect people and leverage each other's skills. It was so successfull that we are rolling it out again in Fall 2023. The way we implemented this program can be replicated across many organizations, and I hope to see it live on for many years.
