About Leslie Murphy

Leslie is an experienced CPA, with a strong background in auditing, business consulting, management and board governance. She has developed her skills through a successful career in public accounting with the fifteenth largest CPA and Consulting firm in the country; management roles within that firm including Group Managing Partner for all Client Services; service to the CPA profession including chairman of the Board of the American Institute of CPAs, and extensive Boardroom experience with corporate and non-profit boards. Leslie focuses most of her current time on Board work, as a qualified financial expert and audit committee chair of public and private corporate boards and non-profit entities within her community. She maintains a rigorous focus on corporate board governance and financial expertise through self-study, reading, involvement in the CPA profession and Director community, and formal coursework. She has earned the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship Certification and serves a member of the NACD Advisory Councils on Audit Committee Issues and Risk Oversight. She also consults on the topics of corporate governance, enterprise risk management, culture enhancement, employee retention, and upward mobility of women.
