I have worked to promote nursing and psychiatric/mental health nursing for over 40 years while serving patients, students and educating colleagues and policy-makers. I am honored to have been the President of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, leading over PMH nurses striving to dignify the lives of people with mental health and substance use conditions as they progress toward recovery. As a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, I will continue to work toward equitable mental health care for all people.
