About Leticia Darms

Leticia d’Arms is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in West Virginia. She views therapy as a safe and nonjudgmental space where patients are welcome to be their authentic selves, practice new skills, and build a connection in a safe space. Leticia uses strengths-based, trauma-informed, and mind-body approaches to help children and adults work through issues surrounding anxiety, depression, panic, grief, trauma, and other concerns. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she utilizes other available evidence-based approaches to help meet each client's specific needs and bring lasting healing. Leticia is particularly interested in using DBT-mindfulness techniques to help her clients observe their emotions and aid in reducing symptoms related to anxiety, stress, depression, and ADHD. She received her Master of Social Work from Marshall University and has over ten years of experience working with children and adolescents. Leticia focuses on trauma-informed practices of engagement offered to children, adolescents, and adults. through both individual and groups sessions. Certified in Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) and Mental Health-First-Aider (MHFA). Extensively trained and utilized Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Motivational-Interviewing (MI) processes.
