About Leticia MacHado

Graduated in Geography from the University of São Paulo, I hold a Master’s degree in Sciences with a focus on Public Health from the School of Public Health at the University of São Paulo (FSP/USP) and a specialization in Urban and Metropolitan Studies from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). With over seven years of experience in sustainability, I have dedicated myself to research on food environments, access to healthy and sustainable food, health promotion, and agroecology. I believe that building more sustainable food environments is a crucial step toward mitigating climate change. Over the years, I have participated as a researcher in various projects, working on both qualitative and quantitative research. In qualitative research, I was responsible for technical tasks such as organizing activities (fieldwork, designing questionnaires for interviews, scheduling interviews) and analytical tasks (structuring and analyzing data). In quantitative research, I focused on territorial investigations for the production of maps and reports. I have also been involved in projects aimed at disseminating scientific knowledge. To carry out these projects, I have developed skills in using tools such as Atlas.ti for qualitative research and QGIS for spatial analysis and map production.
