Currently Florida Rising's Senior Director of Policy and Research based in Jacksonville, FL. Oversees statewide campaigns for Housing Justice, Climate Justice, Reproductive Justice, Criminal Systems Reform, Voting Rights. Former Policy Director and lobbyist for the ACLU of Kansas. Oversaw policy campaigns for Smart Justice (criminal systems reform), Voting Rights, and Safe and Welcoming (immigrant justice). Spent 4.5 years as the International Programs Director for Strategic Applications International, based in Washington, DC. Focus on women's rights and gender-based violence prevention programs. Assigned as support staff to President Obama's Taskforce on 21st Century Policing. Areas of expertise include economic and social justice, LGBTQ+ justice, voting rights, housing policy, criminal justice reform, immigrant rights and refugee issues, human rights, combating gender discrimination, corporate social responsibility (CSR), international affairs and trade, economic development in the emerging world, political advocacy and women's political empowerment, and GBV prevention. Letitia has lived all over the US, as well as in the UK, Spain, Nepal and India. She advocates for policies and legislation that defend civil rights and combat discrimination. Letitia received her M.A. in International Relations from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington. Her specialization is South Asian Political Economy and Human Rights. Her research projects included women's rights and women's political activism in India, the role of caste politics in the BSP, human trafficking between Nepal and India, and the HIV crisis in Kathmandu.
