About Letty Torres

As a full-time student pursuing an MSW clinical track, I am a Health Resources and Services Administration scholar with an expected graduation date of May 2023. Through my intensive clinical internship, I have gained valuable experience in providing therapy to a caseload of 10-13 client children and their families (ages 4-17). My clinical skills include providing EMDR therapy, both in-person and via telehealth, to address intergenerational trauma within family systems. Informed by attachment theory, systemic and relational approaches to therapy, I maintain accurate, strength-based, and respectful electronic clinical health records via Simple Practice for Medicaid. My commitment to strength-based and person-centered treatment is reflected in my use of a trauma lens with a focus on EMDR interventions and Synergic Play Therapy techniques. Additionally, I am passionate about decolonizing mental health and community-based practices, and integrate a holistic clinical practice focus via integrating EMDR, somatic therapies, bottom-up processing, and art-based informed therapy modalities. I am also proud to have applied for grant funding for EMDR equipment, demonstrating my ability to seek out resources and funding to improve the quality of care provided to clients. With a broad range of clinical needs and intersecting identities, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and effective treatment to all of my clients.
