I’m endlessly fascinated by figuring out what it will take to comprehensively solve big, messy problems; especially when it comes to global development."La lutte elle-même vers les sommets suffit à remplir un cœur d'homme" has become a quiet motto for me; the uphill climb of an impossible challenge is a satisfaction in and of itself. Leaning into what I enjoy, I’m working to model a holistic approach to economic development by leveraging the power of existing institutions to build an interdependent network of modular, scalable systems.(My apologies to anyone who has gotten me started on the subject and couldn’t get me to shut up about it) My approach blends strategic analysis, systems design, and on-the-ground execution. I’m deeply interested in how public-private partnerships, local ownership, and data-driven governance can create real, long lasting development gains. By day, I work as a Business Analyst at CAF America, supporting the development of technology based solutions to enable and enhance cross-border philanthropy. As my alter-ego, I moonlight as Chief Strategy Officer at MedTrack, where I help lead a local team in a burgeoning effort to establish foundational healthtech infrastructure in Ghana. Let me nerd out a bit: MedTrack’s platform isn’t just a standalone EHR model. It’s an adaptable health information system designed to integrate with existing tools. With a pilot strategy focused on full rollout for a single district, we’re pursuing partnerships with government, NGOs, and academia to show off the power of comprehensive living health data infrastructure. Some of the collaborations we’re exploring are incredibly cool, and I'm excited to get more practical demonstrations to back up our theories of how transformative this system can be. I’ve had a long and winding journey to end up on this track, learning from failures and combining a panoply of experiences into a unique perspective that lets me build systems holistically. My lab research at NIAID gave me a deep grounding in scientific methodology and critical thinking, while my hands-on work in emergency medicine as an EMT in several countries taught me to respect both the realities of implementation and the critical importance of resilient healthcare systems. I’ve also been a writer and editor, tended bar, taught students, and done more odd jobs than I can probably remember. These days, I’m juggling CAF America, MedTrack, a board game in playtesting, and a hyperactive toddler.
