About Lev Lvov

Over 15 years in senior government relations roles in international companies.In very simple terms, Government Relations is about understanding the needs of the business - your ultimate customer - on the one hand, expectations of the authorities on the other hand, and working towards reaching the most efficient alignment between them.With that in mind, I worked over the years to arrange government relations amidst difficult political scenarios and cultural differences building strong rapport with external and internal counterparts.One of the most challenging and interesting periods for me was when for several years, I acted as GR Lead in Shell Governance team for Sakhalin II Project and managed cross-functional teams to work on specific business goals with GR nexus.In 2018-2022, I was responsible for engagement with Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade under the Roadmap for localization of LNG equipment and technologies. This effort resulted in Shell becoming involved as an expert in the consultations arranged by the Ministry for the development of industry standards and regulations in the country.In 2020-2022, I was responsible for engagement with Government of Sakhalin Region under the pilot project for carbon neutrality. This effort resulted in Shell position and arguments used in the economic justifications for the pilot project as well as the signing of MOU for NBS projects between the Governor and Shell Country Chair.I am honoured to have been shortlisted twice for Shell Global GR Recognition Award (2018, 2020) for special achievements.Now I use the same customer-based approach to work in a completely different industry - helping an international medical humanitarian organization to navigate political landscape and implement its projects for the benefit of the people in need.samsllvov@gmail.com | tg @LvovYS | Whatsapp +79851191278
