About Lev Valetskiy

There is something mystical and fascinating about the global world of today, the endless possibilities and opportunities brought on by the technological unification of a fragmented planet. My dream would be to dive head first into the global rushing stream that is international business. Having a law degree will certainly help navigating those treacherous waters, as well as being a great communicator with a multicultural background, fluent in three European languages and with a burning passion for learning. Being an immigrant has taught me about the value of hard work and giving back to your community. Since my early teenage years, I worked and volunteered through government programs, most recently having completed a 40-day professional internship at an international law firm Asinergy Corporate Services. Moreover, to finance my university degree, I worked in the booming Portuguese real estate sector, mostly focusing on asset management and putting buyers and sellers together. Some of the experience I have gained includes: writing contracts in different languages, navigating paperwork associated with running a business, having to interpret during business meetings and working closely with different types of clients. Outside of professional and academic commitments, I like to dedicate my free time to sports. The ancient pursuit of a better self through athletic excellence is something that captivates and motivates me daily. Having been the coach of the men’s football team, both in high school and in university, taught me to manage different personalities, set up team events and make difficult choices. However, the athletic achievement I am most proud of is winning the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu national title various times, the most recent one coming in September of 2022. Overall, my experience in different sports and the acquired skills of discipline, consistency and persistency will certainly help me in my professional life.
