About Levente Barta

I am passionate about social impact and applied behavioural science and want to work in positions where I can have an impact on global social issues such as climate change, sustainability, equality, education, diversity, mental health, and so forth. Through my BSc and MSc studies I have learned to apply psychological theories in practical ways to achieve a desired change for the benefit of a target group — and to do so in an ethically sound manner. I am also skilled in social science research methods and fiercely believe in the importance of evidence-based practice. I'm in the field of social psychology and behavioural influence because I absolutely love it and I see it as the most promising tool we have for understanding societal problems and developing solutions to address them. Having grown up in Hungary, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Cambodia, and now The Netherlands, I have always had an international mindset and an expertise in cultural differences and adaptation. I take pride in my ability to find connections beyond differences between all cultures and people and using the connections to bring people together and solve complex problems. I am also a flexible and adaptive person who thrives in team environments. Growing up with such a lifestyle I developed resilience and adaptive skills, preparing me for a lifetime of change. Interested in: applied behavioural science/insights, social impact, social psychology, behavioural influence, choice architecture, algorithmic persuasion, sustainability, data ethics I am open to work in The Netherlands as well as remotely in the EU.
