About Levi Gaslin

I graduated in fall of 2012 from Northwest Technical College in Bemidji, MN. I obtained an Associates of Applied Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology while sustaining a 4.0 GPA. For the final year of schooling and beyond I was employed at LaValley Industries, an OEM manufacturer, as a design technician/technologist (SolidWorks, Draftsight, Publisher). Since then I have worked in the plastic moulding/assembly, metal stamping/assembly, medical & veterinary device manufacturing, and electric motor manufacturing industries.My prior automation and maintenance work has consisted of troubleshooting, interfacing and building automated equipment such as fixtures, robots (3 and 6 axis) and presses, along with creating the documentation for said equipment. When not working on automation projects there was troubleshooting of production issues and other special setup requirements along with preventative work as well. With medical/FDA certified companies there was also plenty of paperwork to document and keep track of, such as work orders, change assessments, installation checklists, software installation records and source code reviews. The above was all done with GDP's and GMP's kept in mind.I am at my best when solving problems of a technical nature. I pick up on technical applications quickly, can navigate computers with ease and learn computer applications with little to no direction. My current hope is to find a company that allows a balance between work and family that continues to invest in its employees. I work to ensure this balance goes both ways as well. Since many manufacturing operations are 24 hours, I aim to provide the flexibility to help with emergency issues and stay late or show up early when current projects require it. I would like to continue to add to my 12 years of post-college experience and advance my career in a manufacturing, testing, R&D, management and/or a technician environment.Such job titles/areas could include, but not limited to the following: Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Technician, Project Managing, Electronics/Control Technician, Automation Specialist/Technician, Manufacturing/Production Maintenance, Maintenance Supervisor/Manager, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) Technician, Test Technician, Robotics Technician, or Research and Development.
