I graduated from Pine Prairie High in 2011 and the same week I graduated I got a job in Operation in the oil and gas industry. I have always been dedicated to my work and really enjoy what I do. I first started off working contract for Woodgroup back in 2011. I worked with Woodgroup until 2013 where I learned a lot about process and all the HSE side that we have to deal with today. I eventually got to where I need to be and thought it was a good time to make a move to broaden my knowledge on process and just learn new things. So In 2013 I left Woodgroup and took a job with shamrock as an A operator. As an A-operator in the field I Operated a field of outlined platforms. Completely daily pollution checks and daily rounds and readings. Managed BSEE testing throughout the field and stayed In Regulations with all coast guard related equipment like fire extinguisher, life buoys swing ropes ext. Managed well worked while out in the field such as wireline, jack up boats and rigs. Managed all LOTO systems ensuring all isolations stayed proven for any intrusive work going on. Operated cranes when needed. Optimized production as efficient as possible while staying safe and compliant. Managed all the hazards of a production platform keeping all personnel and the environment safe. I eventually moved on in 2018 and took a production Technician job with BP AMERICA working deep water. As a production technician my role was to produce oil and gas on the facility while managing all hazards associated with process ensuring everyone on the facility stayed safe including the environment. I completed daily rounds and readings throughout the facility. Managed all monthly BSEE testing. Managed all isolations throughout the facility ensuring all isolations stayed proven by checking pressure build ups. Built and approved permits and isolations for upcoming work. Help managed all planned outage schedules that were upcoming for work. Managed all intrusive work ensuring process piping that was getting broke into were all bled to 0 and that our isolations were proven. Managed all equipment throughout the facility and reporting any issues found and making the decision whether we needed to swap pumps or shut in. Put in work orders on equipment using the program fiori and sap. Did five whys on certain jobs that could have went better and wrote up lessons learned when incidents happened like shuts in or excursion. Worked along side a rig that operated 24/7 and assisted with worked when needed.
