About Levi Purdy

I am a computer engineer specializing in UAVs. My side hobbies are 3D printing, and aerospace design. Unusually resourceful, and a fan of project management. Although technology is my primary focus and identity, I have spent my life on what many would consider a remote Alaskan island. I am proud to have grown-up with a lifestyle more rustic than average, even for Alaska. I enjoy working on projects for fun and out of necessity. Every year of high school, I dedicated myself to a project or competition. I feel at home in our cold rain forests and on windswept beaches. I owe this association to my family. We have often traveled to remote areas by floatplane, boat or even helicopter and early on it became a tradition to go out to a small remote cabin without running water, electricity, or any connection to the outside world for Christmas. Because of my experiences, I readily identify with Macguyver and have fixed many things with aluminum foil or some duct tape.
