About Levi Taylor

I've been an independent artist for over 20 years. I grew up in the world of the Alaskan underbelly- a world that was as wild as the old west as recently as the 1980's. Through my father's stories, who also grew up here, I learned about the social changes that were implemented upon society in the north. These changes were influenced by industrial greed and through exposure of commercialism from the states- bringing a change of lifestyle that many Alaskans had traveled so far to escape. My experience growing up in this world offered a unique perspective and I've been building upon this perspective through the development of an entertainment series for over 10 years. I have volumes of material that support this creative platform which includes ebook, cinematic, and video game content. My ongoing exploration of social issues, inspiration for my creative series, comes from first hand exposure to the changes in the career criminal world of the north, as well as the impact these changes have had on social relations at large. In 2007 I launched Crooked Pictures LLC to connect with other professionals who could help build my empire into reality. Our multi-award winning short film WAY UP NORTH was the launch pad that introduced our unique flavor of an untold chapter to Alaska's violent history. As Alaskans we have a unique perspective of what is considered "normal" in the continental states, and through our creative endeavor we explore our unique perspective of social issues through grit, gore, sex, drugs and rock 'n roll. We're currently bridging our endeavor with other industry professionals to reach a global online audience, while providing competitive opportunities for our local art community. We are in the business of working with venture capitalists who understand the value of a mapped out, expansive product over a single feature film. Specialties: Part of leading a team is being able to keep track of how all the little pieces connect to the larger picture. Also, being a decision maker who has a sensitive intuition for people, and an understanding of how what they do affects who they are. Both of these traits are also the making of a good writer director. You can't buy this kind of life perspective. It comes with the rolling punches.
