Ms. Lexi Addison is a coastal and ocean policy professional with a passion for marine conservation, sustainable fisheries, and environmental storytelling. She holds a Master of Coastal Environmental Management from Duke University and a B.S. in Environmental Studies from Santa Clara University, with certifications in Community-Based Environmental Management and ESG for Business. Lexi brings a cross-disciplinary, systems-thinking approach to addressing complex coastal and marine challenges. Lexi currently works at Deloitte as an environmental consultant, where she supports federal clients in advancing environmental permitting, international clean energy initiatives, and climate resilience across diplomatic and development platforms. Her work spans policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability strategy—bridging technical expertise with a people-centered approach. In addition to her consulting work, Lexi is an independent filmmaker dedicated to storytelling at the intersection of ocean policy, community, and conservation. Her award-winning documentary Winds of Change examines the impacts of offshore wind development on West Coast fishing communities, while her recent film The Last Fin spotlights the realities of shark fishing and the importance of collaboration within coastal communities. Through these projects, she continues to deepen her commitment to community-driven conservation, building trust and amplifying local voices through film. Her foundation in ocean policy is anchored in hands-on field experience—from research at the Bimini Shark Lab to collaborative work with fishing communities across U.S. coastlines. Working at the intersection of policy, media, and conservation, Lexi translates science into story, amplifying the voices of those on the front lines of ocean change.
