About Lexi McCarthy

Growing up, I quickly realized I was fascinated by the relationships individuals have with themselves and others within culture and society. This plus my degree in Sociology ultimately lead me to my career in Human Resources. As an HR Professional for over 8 years, I believe partnering with employees, leaders and the business have allowed me to consistently deliver results that prioritizes the interests of both individuals along with the organization. I pride myself in being well versed across state and federal compliance, placing an emphasis on facts versus fiction when tasked with investigations, and operating with values such as integrity and honesty in high stake decisions to everyday repetitive tasks. I am thankful to have worked for previous corporations that have taught me to intentionally bring empathy into daily interactions with those around and operating from a place of curiosity.I have seen first hand within my positions that prioritizing culture within a company pays its dividends in not only profit margins, retention, but also commonly misunderstood employment issues (ie: compliance, wage and hour laws, ever changing state and federal regulations). In addition, I am a strong believer in utilizing data to better understand employees sentiments and areas of opportunity within the workplace. Asking questions and actively listening to our staff is just as important as the product or service we are trying to deliver to our customers.Although I am passionate with all facets of HR, my core strengths lie in employee engagement, employee relations, coaching and performance management, onboarding and retention, and leave management + the interactive process (FEHA’s, ADA, FMLA, etc.). Across my experience, I have developed a reputation that if you would like something to be done effective, efficiently, and correctly I am the person for the job.
