About Lexi Reed

As a student and employee, I must be passionate, driven, and disciplined in my work, but as a person, I must understand the value of taking a step back. I thrive when I am busy. I multitask, prepare, lead, communicate, connect, work, study, and manage. However, this passion for involvement and engagement at both the university and community levels has taught me the art of understanding my limits. As a professional, I can set a high standard for myself with a realistic and humble acknowledgment of my ambitions, potential, capabilities, limits, and areas needing growth. I am a Communication Studies major with a minor in Gender Studies, server, childcare specialist, legal assistant, volunteer, and involved member of both my local and university communities. At my university, I employ my superb communication skills as both a Mentor and an Institutional Peer Equity Trainer, providing uniquely curated training content on Consent and Inclusive Sexual Safety to my peers under the supervision of USI's Institutional Equity Office. In addition to verbal communication, I also employ my skills in written communication as a writer for our campus's arts, culture, and fashion magazine: Candid. My greatest passion in life is connecting with others. I love to communicate and have unique, passionate conversations about life, ask meaningful questions, and uncover even more meaningful answers. This passion and love for communication are what have driven me to pursue an education in Communication Studies with a minor in Gender Studies that feeds into my interests in writing, human rights, and advocacy. I hope to utilize my skills and put my passions to work in nonprofit work and leadership in the coming years. I can't wait to network and connect with you!
