About Leyla Acaroglu

Leyla Acaroglu challenges people to think differently about how the world works. As an award-winning designer, UNEP Champion of the Earth, social scientist and entrepreneur, Leyla developed the Disruptive Design Method and designs experiences and toolkits the activate positive change and help people make the status quo obsolete. She is a mainstage TED speaker, LinkedIn Changemaker and Instructor, and was named Champion of the Earth by the United Nations Environment Program in 2016. Leyla is the founder of the UnSchool of Disruptive Design, Disrupt Design, and Circular Futures and is invited to lead presentations and workshops around the world on activating positive social and environmental change through creative interventions. As an international keynote speaker and inspiring educator with a PhD in how to make change in the world by design, she advises companies, governments and entrepreneurs around the world on how to transform through sustainability, climate action, systems thinking and the circular economy. Leyla dived headfirst into a regenerative farm project in 2017 and spent 4 years restoring an abandoned olive farm in central Portugal called the CO Project Farm.
