I am an R&D Data Scientist with a PhD in the fields of Epidemiology and Health Behavior, specializing in building data-driven products from complex, unconventional data. My passion is bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI/ML and rigorous scientific validation to power the future of population health and disease prevention. I have a proven track record of leading the end-to-end development of population health solutions, from architecting scalable mobile health data infrastructure to deploying advanced AI/ML models in epidemiological research. My work is grounded in scientific and technical excellence: End-to-End Study Leadership: Applied rigorous causal inference and statistical modeling across 35+ research studies to generate population- and individual-level insights. Leveraged a diverse range of real-world data, including large observational cohorts (100K+ participants), claims databases (Medicare), and nested mHealth studies (5K+ participants). Digital Biomarker & Algorithm Development: Engineered and validated novel digital biomarkers (e.g, mobility, circadian rhythms) from over 1 million days of raw sensor data using Python-based signal processing and longitudinal modeling. Large-Scale AI & NLP: Deployed a deep learning pipeline to analyze over 350M street-view images on an HPC cluster to quantify novel stratified SDOH risk factors of disease. Separately, engineered an NLP system using LLMs to transform unstructured user feedback into actionable product insights on smartphone App design. As a cross-functional researcher, I collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate scientific discoveries into tangible health products.
