About Lia Bezerra

I’m an urban planner and designer that is passionate about new modes of urbanity and the city. I have over 15 years of experience delivering projects of various types and scales. My projects include urban development and renovation schemes, urban planning policies, strategic planning, feasibility studies, and residential-led mixed-use developments in Brazil, Europe, Tanzania, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. My professional concentration has been in the technical coordination and production of conceptual and detailed master plans, design guidelines, and regulations. Over the years, I have specialized in developing comprehensive GIS-based solutions for master planning and urban design. In addition, I maintain involvement in academia and research by teaching master-level courses in Poland and the UAE, as well as occasionally collaborating in scientific work concerning urban density.
