About Liam Allard

Graduated from UC Berkeley in 2018 with a BA in Astrophysics and a GPA of 3.415. At Berkeley, I took upper-division classes on a variety of topics, including statistical mechanics, quantum physics, electrodynamics, and astrophysics. I also took an Optical Astronomy lab course, which introduced me to data collection and analysis, as well as basic use of Python and LaTeX. I'm also a proficient writer, having written many papers both for the Optical lab and for humanities classes outside my major. From my experience with group projects in the lab and humanities classes, I work well in a team. I know when I should ask my team members for help and I'm always willing to offer support to others. As of January 2020, I finished an online course on C++, and later on I was recruited by Revature to receive training as a full-stack web developer. During that training, I became proficient in Java, JavaScript, React, Redux, and Spring Boot. Since July 2020, I have been working as a software developer for Karsun, working on a government contract for FEMA's grants management website, FEMA Go. During this time, I have honed my skills as a developer and have obtained new skills in additional programming tools, including the Camunda process engine.
