About Liam Augustyn

I am currently an undergraduate student in the Heider College of Business at Creighton University, where I am double majoring in Finance and Economics with a focus in Analysis. The classes in these majors have allowed me to become proficient in Excel, Stata, and other analysis software. Thanks to the large variety of classes offered in the Heider College of Business, I have gained skills in a multitude of different subjects including, and not limited to, Supply Chain Management, Managerial Communication, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Business Ethics, Accounting, and Marketing. During my Creighton career I have worked numerous jobs that have granted me with invaluable experience. My Freshman year I started working on campus as a Student Assistant in the Campus Ministry Office where I have learned, and continue to develop, strong interpersonal communication and teamwork. I currently assist in new student worker training at Campus Ministry along various types of clerical work. Starting my Junior year and continuing to the present, I have had the honor and pleasure to work with Economist Ernie Goss in his research endeavors. As a research assistant I have gained experience in data collection and entry. I also work as within the Heider College of Business as a Marketing Research Assistant where I help assemble and send out a monthly survey sponsored by the Institute for Supply Management and Creighton University. Results from these surveys are taken and analyzed by Dr. Goss which are then used to create monthly newsletters that are read and sited across the nation. With two majors, a minor, multiple jobs, and commitments different clubs, I have developed strong time-management skills and a resilience to high pressure situations.
