About Liam Browne

I am a highly educated and multi-disciplinary individual with a background in biomedical science, business analytics, and public health. My biomedical science degree has given me a strong foundation in the scientific understanding of health and disease, while my business analytics degree has equipped me with skills in data analysis and decision-making. My public health degree has provided me with a deep understanding of the factors that impact the health of populations and the skills necessary to develop and advocate for policies and programs that address these issues. I am eager to utilise my diverse educational background to make a positive impact in a variety of policy areas. As a board-registered polysomnographic technologist (RPSGT™) with experience providing patient care in the hospital environment, I am passionate about diagnosing and treating sleep disorders and sleep-disordered breathing. In addition to my professional background, I am also interested in the digital transformation of global healthcare systems and organisations through data-driven public health initiatives. I believe that using data to drive decision-making can help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare systems and organisations, and I am eager to be a part of this effort. I am also committed to advocacy, as demonstrated by my experience as an elected member of the Student Guild of Griffith University Gold Coast, where I work to support students in keeping physically and mentally healthy and to address the needs and wants of the student body through annual consultation reports, day-to-day presence, and data-driven health promotion programs.
