About Liam Doughty

I am a Primary Care Paramedic, working for British Columbia Emergency Health Services, with experience working in Metro, Urban, and Rural locations - and the various complications that can change with those locations. I am always looking for ways to expand my knowledge with lifelong learning and to live my life in the most engaging and fulfilling way possible. Prior to training as a Paramedic, I worked as a Aircraft Engineering Technician for the Royal Navy, operating on Wildcat HMA Mk2, the highlight of which was deploying on Operation Broadshare in 2020 providing humanitarian aid and security assistance to British Overseas Territories in the North Atlantic during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This career exposed me to challenging and potentially hostile environments where I felt that I was thriving, including making decisions under pressure, and certinly influenced my decision to pursue Paramedicine after leaving the Armed Forces.In my free time, I will typically be found indulging in my love of running, hiking and the great outdoors, or finding the next great record store to bulk up my vinyl collection.
