About Liam Godfrey

For the past 10 years I’ve been in the financial markets based in London covering investment banks, trading credit. I had the most fun! I met a lot of fantastic people, clients, and colleagues. I enjoyed working in a fast paced high pressure environment where decision making and problem solving was an integral part of the day to day job. I have made the difficult decisions to move away from the ever changing financial industry, not only by changing career paths but also moving to the US. Now based in Southern California I am pursing a very different line of work, partnering with an existing business based in the UK called Thermal Break ltd who are one of the UK market leaders. We supply a product known as a “Thermal Break” which is a component of construction that has low thermal conductivity. These elements are used to assist in reducing the flow of thermal energy between conductive materials, and therefore are a suitable method for keeping heat in (cold climates) and heat out (warm climates) saving on heating and cooling costs, respectively. In this day and age energy costs continue to be a vital factor in building design and construction with energy prices rising. In turn this is also a positive for the, ready for the buzz word? “Green” movement and will help companies and building owners lower their energy footprint. I relish in the challenge of growing a fantastic business in a new market and all the hurdles it may present.
