My name is Liam McDonough. I am a rising senior at Bentley University majoring in Finance with a concentration in the Capital Markets. I’m interested in this area of work because of my passion for hard work, critical thinking, the financial markets, and teamwork. At Bentley, my experiences at the Sustainable Investment Group and the Pulsifer Career Development Center have allowed me to hone my investing acumen, communication skills, and help build relationships with those in the Bentley community. Throughout my work and academic experiences, I have a proven record of navigating and succeeding through both unstructured and structured environments. My leadership, communication, and strong analytical skills have allowed me to successfully lead teams to face major challenges. As a result of my persistence, in-depth research, and financial analysis I received the Hartnett Award through Bentley University for creating the most realistic, conclusive, and effective financial, operational, and marketing plan for an alumni corporate partner.Given my background as a self-starter who is an experienced and effective leader, a career in the capital markets is the exact role I will thrive. I am an entrepreneurial and driven individual who wants to better the world by using financial markets. I have recently interned with Berkman Woods, a private equity firm focusing on lower middle market deals that create operational value. I am currently working for Goldman Sachs as a Summer Analyst in Asset and Wealth Management.
