About Liam Parker

I am currently working for Nav Canada as a Senior Software Developer developing and maintaining a Kubernetes Platform, developing microservices mainly in Java, C++, C#, Python, and JavaScript. I containerize my microservices into docker images and deploy them with best practices on Kubernetes. I also do a lot of DevOps work including creating continuous build pipelines and Kubernetes clusters. I have developed automated, continuous, build pipelines that compile, test, docker build, and deploy my team's source code onto Kubernetes. I also build highly available Kubernetes clusters from scratch using kubeadm on linux hosts and have heavily customized our companies Kubernetes clusters to fit the business's requirements. Including ELK monitoring stack, Prometheus + Grafana automatic monitoring solutions and custom business specific monitoring alerts. I have a Computer Science degree at Victoria University of Wellington and have completed an exchange semester at University of Windsor. Previously, I was working full time on the Xero Graduate Program doing Android Java Development, Ruby Cloud Automation Development in AWS and C# back-end Development work.
