About Liam Thomas

As a Battery Development Assistant at Solid Ultrabattery Inc, I am passionate about advancing lithium metal battery technology for a greener future. I manage plant operations, implement 5S methodologies, and enforce safety protocols in a dynamic startup environment. I also formulate and execute DFMEAs and PFMEAs to ensure product quality and reliability.I have developed multiple skills and competencies in battery testing, design, and data analysis. I independently developed environmental management and 3D printing systems, managed co-op students, and led the development of the LFP + lithium metal battery product. I streamlined data analysis by creating Python programs with the matplotlib, numpy, and openpyxl libraries to extract and visualize battery cycling data efficiently. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where I gained extensive lab experience working with analytical instruments and performed and analyzed data from characterization tests.
