About Liam White

I started my career working in Satellite Communications learning the ropes of the communications sector while simultaneously training as an IT Engineer, focusing on internal networks and 1st line support. After finishing my apprenticeship I took the opportunity to broaden my skill set, working in the banking sector dealing with customer disputes, enhancing my customer services skillset whilst taking responsibility for customer complaints, payment disputes and fraud cases, upon completion of this role I took the role of stock auditor for a Major UK supermarket chain, working unsociable hours. Here I learned on the importance of auditing and being responsible for checking orders that entered the warehouse. Then I moved back to the communications sector, firstly taking on the role of an IT Assistant, looking after other employees technical issues, internal networks, as well as taking the lead in implementing new systems, such as SharePoint. An opportunity arose to transfer internal to take a Test Technician Role, this role gives me the responsibility of testing telecoms equipment for a major UK mobile network provider, ensuring their network equipment is in a working state, providing repairs where necessary. I have learned how to operate and test products from various vendors, such as; Cisco, Nortel, Marconi & Ciena.
