About Lian Kwong
I have worked in a range of marine environments spanning tropical to subarctic, with an emphasis on spatial (coastal to offshore) and temporal (seasonal/long term) gradients in biological productivity and export using size based modelling approaches. My research to date has focused on drawing links between lower and higher trophic level productivity to improve our understanding of the impacts of climate change on marine environments. I am currently working as a biologist with DFO’s Salmonid Enhancement Program (SEP) Planning and Assessment Unit. I have 10 years of experience working in marine sciences, working in biological oceanography and environmental consulting.
