About Lianna Smith

My mission is to use my eclectic skills and craftsmanship to bring stories that inspire me to real, beautiful, gritty life. I believe that love for a daily vocation is the fabric of a life well-lived. I love working in film as each project represents a culmination of dreams, storytelling, teamwork, technical skill, and ingenuity. As a scenic artist, painter, and maker, I have experience creating paint and scenic effects for film, TV, and theater productions. I am an active and enthusiastic member of IATSE Local 478 Studio Mechanics. I also paint by contract at various small businesses around town. I have a diverse skillset that combines art, fabrication, and technology. My skills include roll, brush, and spray applications, specialty finishes, washes, glazes, sculpting, bodywork and repair, vinyl and wallpaper application, sign painting, prop painting, wood preparation, stain and finishing, plaster, and more. I also have experience in 3D-sculpting, drafting, CNC KUKA operation, fabrication, and design. I hold an AAS in Industrial Management (Auto Collision Repair and Refinishing) from Hillsborough Community College. I am also an owner of a small portfolio of properties in the Gulf South, and have hosted hundreds of Airbnb stays, where I offer hospitality and customer service to my guests. I am always looking for new opportunities and challenges to grow and showcase my talents.
