About Lianne Craig

Lianne is a Partner of Hausfeld, London. She served as Managing Partner of the firm, and sat on the Global Executive Committee until the end of 2023. Prior to becoming Managing Partner of the firm, Lianne was Head of Commercial Disputes in London. Lianne has a broad practice encompassing domestic and international commercial disputes and international competition damages claims. A fluent Spanish speaker, Lianne leads the firm's business development activities in Spain where she is involved in significant group litigation. She is also very much involved in the pro bono and public interest work that Hausfeld is reputed for, having a particularly keen interest in climate/environmental litigation.Many of Lianne's cases involve third party funding and ATE insurance and this is an area about which she is particularly knowledgeable. Lianne is also a regular speaker on developments in collective redress and has recently spoken at the IBA's Annual Conference and the ABA's Class Action Institute on the topic. She is a current office-holder (Jurisdictions Coordinator) on the Class Actions Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), is a Member of the IBA’s Law Firm Management Committee Advisory Board, and sits on the Steering Committee of the Cambridge Forum for European Collective Redress. She has particular expertise in corporate and commercial disputes including minority shareholder claims, financial services and securities litigation and competition litigation. She also has experience in international arbitration.Lianne's client base encompasses multinational corporations, insolvency officeholders, SMEs, financial institutions, private equity and hedge fund investors, NGOs and private individuals. She often takes instructions against major banks and has significant experience in running cases involving financial benchmark manipulation (e.g. LIBOR/EURIBOR). Lianne won the Legal 500 Award for Dispute Resolution (London) Individual of the Year 2020 and was listed by The Lawyer in their "Hot 100" list for 2021 which recognises excellence and relevance across the legal profession in the UK.She is currently in training to become a Psychosynthesis Leadership Coach.
