Background
About Liat Nakar
I am a researcher and educator specializing in computer science education, with a focus on problem-solving, abstraction, computational thinking, and the integration of AI tools in teaching. Currently, I investigate the role of generative AI in the problem-solving process within computer science courses. With over two decades of teaching experience, I have designed and taught courses ranging from object-oriented programming to computability and complexity. As an active member of the SIGCSE community, I serve on the SIGCSE Virtual Conference organizing committee and contribute to its Globalization Team. My work has been recognized with honors, including the Best Paper Award at Koli Calling 2023. At Ono Academic College, I lecture in computer science, develop innovative teaching practices, and contribute to the establishment of an international school. Passionate about advancing computer science education, I strive to empower educators and students in the evolving technological landscape.
