It was just about 7 years ago that I created Sanibel Sensations, A Visual-Scent Therapy business in the Sanibel Area. We are a company that specializes in the lost art of RELAXATION! Many are not familiar with Visual-Scent Therapy because it is a new concept in homeopathic therapy. The idea came to me 26 years ago while giving birth to my son. I chose no medications and used visual therapy to take myself out of my body to avoid the intense labor pain I knew I would be in.My OB was astonished that I survived 19 hours with no medications or Epidural! Over the years while practicing Home Health Nursing, I found that patients were discharged from the hospital too soon, their pain was poorly managed, increasing their stress and anxiety. With increased pain and stress, the patients are subject to elevated blood pressure and heart rate, putting them at a further increased risk. With select patients, I was able to introduce them to Visual-Scent Therapy by having them witness some breathtaking images that I have captured in the Caribbean. Soon I introduced Essential oils, a blend of Jasmine and Mandarin, Vanilla Coconut and Musk that made them feel like they were at their favorite beach or tropical oasis. Instantaneously, I noted that patients were calmer, the pain was less and their stress had dissipated. With this being the case, It allowed me to teach the patients about their disease process and their recovery. Over the past years, we have created Unisex Tropical Island Essential oil Colognes, Body Sprays, Massage oils and Home Diffusers that will make you feel like you are at your favorite tropical paradise! When combining our fragrances with our captivating imagery, you will feel a sense of peace, calm and contentment overcome you, allowing you to take a moment to escape, rejuvenate, and carry on with the rest of your day!
