About Libby Eden

Hi, I’m Libby, a third year Chemistry student at the University of Salford looking for an entry level/ graduate scheme in the chemical sector. I differentiate myself through problem solving skills and ability to quickly adapt to and learn new technologies. Alongside my studies, I completed a summer internship at Cleansing Group Services (CSG) and am currently working in the laboratory as an analytical chemist. I have a strong foundation in analytical testing and understanding of chemical hazards. Hands on experience in hazardous waste disposal has catalysed a passion for green chemistry and hope to contribute to impactful sustainability projects in the future. My final year project explores synthesising derivatives of porphyrins as anti-cancer agents using green conditions. Aside from this I also have a keen interest in formulation and cosmetic chemistry.
