About Libby MacPherson

I am a full-time third-year student at The University of Denver, studying Marketing. Over the last two years, I have been developing marketing skills at Daniels College of Business. My favorite moment in marketing was working closely with two local Denver organizations to review and suggest edits to their marketing plan. During my study abroad, I got the opportunity to expand my horizons and reach the global companies in the CE region. I have found that I work well in a group setting and I crave the original aspects of marketing. During the school year, I teach spin classes two times a week. I decided to pursue this job because I value health and fitness. During my free time, I love to invent new healthy recipes and work out, making this job experience a passion of mine. Being a spin instructor has helped me to manage my time of working and studying. I have Marketed my classes to go from an average of one person per class to about ten people per class. I have learned to create detailed workout plans and music to complement the class. over the last couple of months, I have learned to motivate and speak in front of an audience. During the summers, I have worked as a Deckhand. During this job, I assist the members of the Hingham yacht club, Maintain the safety of the club during dangerous storms, and helped to execute the yacht club's party. I have come to realize that I can be a fast worker and thrive in a customer service environment. During my free time, I love to be outdoorsy. I have grown up skiing and I am extremely passionate about alpine downhill ski racing. this passion brought me to volunteer in high school and to be a ski coach where I found a love for working with children. I also love to read and run distance. during the weekends I am an avid hiker. During COVID-19 I worked at the Hingham yacht club as a desk Clark, where I greeted and ensured the health and well-being of the members. During that time, I used my free time on the job to update the books and information of the members, reaching out via calling and email to receive their important information.
