About Libby Scheinpflug

From an early age I was creative, happy to share and loved to help out. In adulthood, this has grown into my passion for making a difference in people’s lives and in our communities. What I do best, is help organisations understand the benefits of volunteer support. I coach leaders of volunteers to be effective facilitators, and volunteers to have the best experience that truly meets their needs as well as those of the organisation. My expertise is in assessing volunteer needs, developing and growing effective volunteer programs, creating resources, managing compliance for volunteer inclusion and building relationships with all stakeholders. My achievements include- • Partnership with TAFE Qld for volunteers to achieve the Cert in Active Volunteering and Cert II in Retail • Creating a new volunteer team in response to growing demand for participation in community events; designed and delivered recruitment and training • Increasing volunteers in community support groups by 150% • Implementing and facilitating an annual Volunteer Coordinator’s conference as part of development and recognition • Nomination by my team and receiving the Volunteer Manager Award of Excellence from the Australian Association of Managers of Volunteers • Supporting my team through the impact of significant organisation changes, leading to new employment Program leaders have said I have gone above and beyond and my passion for what I do is evident because I love people first. Working in the Volunteer Services team at Churches of Christ in Qld, I supported front-facing community programs and worked alongside team members supporting services in aged care and programs for children, youth and families, all providing exceptional care supported by exceptional volunteer teams.
