About Libby Zemaitis

Libby Zemaitis enjoys connecting people, sharing ideas, and turning collaboration into action. With over 17 years of experience in network building and strategic management, she focuses on advancing practical solutions to climate resilience, sustainable economic development and clean tech. Libby leads key resilience programs and policy work at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES), including the Climate Resilient Communities Accelerator. The Accelerator organizes, aligns, and equips public and private-sector leaders to increase their resilience impact in vulnerable regions across the nation. The program scales from hyper local to nationally, activating public-private partnership to implement pre-disaster strategies that are high-impact, multi-hazard, and collaborative, while advancing policy at the national level. Before joining C2ES, Libby spent many years in New York State managing a regional resilience program, building new partnerships, and leading state policy. She also co-founded Up Homes, a design-tech startup, and has international consulting experience in energy, marketing and trade strategy, and B2B matchmaking. Libby launched her career working for innovative startups focused on ocean and biomass energies. Libby was in the first class of Bard College’s MBA in Sustainable Business, where she also received a MS in Climate Science & Policy. She holds a BA in Geology from Vassar College.
