As an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Computing at SETU Carlow and a dedicated PhD researcher, I am deeply immersed in the realms of technology and education. Supported by the Irish Research Council under the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme, my academic and professional journey showcases a strong commitment to technological advancement and teaching. I hold an MSc in Computer Science and a First Class Honours in Computer Games Development. My passion for programming spans across various domains, including Web Development, Video Games Development, and Data Science. The aspect of programming that captivates me the most is the challenge of problem-solving – striving to develop code that is not only effective but also readable, reusable, and efficient. In my dual role as an educator and a researcher, I constantly explore the intersection of Technology, Science, Education, Fitness, Art, and Music. This diverse range of interests fuels my continuous pursuit of knowledge and personal growth. I am always on the lookout for new opportunities that allow me to apply my skills in meaningful ways, contributing to this era of remarkable possibilities. Key Research Projects: PhD (Ongoing): The Tracking, Modelling, and Predictive Analysis of Learner Behaviour Towards More Effective Learner Behaviours and Online Courses. MSc: Leveraging xAPI in a Corporate e-Learning Environment to Facilitate the Tracking, Modelling, and Predictive Analysis of Learner Behaviour. BSc (Hons): Application of Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms to Gameplay. What drives me in my field is the opportunity to make a tangible impact through innovation and education. The most rewarding aspect of my work is seeing the practical application of research and the positive influence it can have on both students and the broader field of computing.
