About Lidia Avitia

I'm an engineering data science graduate student with a strong foundation in mathematics, programming, and statistical analysis. My work spans machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and data analytics, ranging from building real-time gesture recognition systems with CNNs and LSTMs too improving crop yield forecasting using time series models and attention-based RNNs. Proficient in Python, SQL, and MATLAB, and experienced with libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and OpenCV, I also bring practical software engineering skills in data pipeline development, model integration, and visualization with Power BI and Tableau. My background includes streamlining data operations and automating reporting in the homebuilding industry. I am passionate about building scalable, data-driven solutions and open to roles in data science, analytics, machine learning, and software engineering where I can bridge technical rigor and real-world impact.
