About Lies Verholle
Lies Verholle started her musical career as a flutist but later discovered her passion for singing. She obtained her Masters in classical singing at the School of Arts in Ghent, where she studied with Gidon Saks and Mireille Capelle. In masterclasses Lies has appeared with Beatrijs de Vos, Rita Dams, Lynne Fortin, Margarida Natividade, Michael Spyres, Gabriele Micheli, Ubaldo Fabbri and Roger Vignoles. She has performed in several music theatre productions. She participated in ‘Aida’, ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘Parsifal’ with NTG and with Toneelgroep Maastricht in productions as ‘Waar het vlakke land gaat plooien’, ‘Othello’ en ‘Eyes wide shut’. Since 2014 Lies has been performing with Opera Ballet Vlaanderen along with many concerts as a soloist.
