About Liesl Woolschot

My journey down the path to product ownership started with a part-time job as an office administrator at a construction company while I completed my University degree. In order to make my life easier, I redesigned their payroll system, adding automation to make it more efficient and decrease chance of errors. On graduating I headed over to Europe, settling in London, with the aim to travel in between temp jobs. Although I did manage to see a lot of the world, real life got in the way and a career emerged. Like most people in the mortgage industry, I didn’t plan a career in mortgages, but fell into it following a temporary assignment at a mortgage lender. Years of administrative experience and business analysis morphed into project delivery and product ownership with my last 2 products focussing on API build. I have a logical mind and enjoy problem solving, so I excel in tasks involving data analysis, process improvements, process efficiency, system design, and I get the most satisfaction out of defining change and seeing it through to delivery. I have a track record of delivering change that fulfils the expectations of my stakeholders as well as providing a better customer experience.
