About Liisa Murray

Clinical research professional, with experience in clinical trials from local ethics submissions, health authority submissions, law and regulations, eTMF, scientific writing and translation. I hold a PhD from the University of QLD in respiratory disease, immunology, genetics and molecular biology. My educational background in Biomedical Science and Translational Medicine from University of Helsinki has provided me an in-depth understanding of medical and clinical sciences. The PhD and post-doc research project was a case-control study of respiratory viral infections in asthma patients and provided me the expertise in independent research project management. The experience and education gained led me to a career in clinical research, first supporting Centre of Research Excellence RESPOND in optimising antimicrobial treatment dosing with special patient groups and now with the CRO Icon plc supporting clinical trials. This career path has made it possible for me to participate in working towards better healthcare and providing better treatments to patients.
