About Lille Knudsen

As a teenager, I heard a quote that perfectly aligned with how I felt as a person,"There are only two things I care about in this world: everyone and television!" For most of my life I have been pursuing a life built on caring about people and making content for them to watch. I have created several of my own short films, worked at BYUTV, participated in the creation of hundreds of commercial projects at Website Talking Heads, and have actively participated in content creation on Tik Tok and other social media platforms. I studied Film while majoring in Media Arts at Brigham Young University. I emphasized learning about producing, directing, and art direction during my time there. I took a special interest in female stories while I was in schools, and eventually minored in Global Women Studies. My culminating projects at BYU were titled "Dollhouse" and "Ophelia, My Mother." The former explored bodily autonomy within relationships while the later explored the weight of the male gaze on women in the film industry. I had the opportunity as a student to work on an international documentary series called "Congregation." I was a part of the developoment and preproduction process in the US and a part of the production team in the UK. This experience and my work experience as a producer's assistant at BYUTV gave me crucial real world experience that I will use for the rest of my career. As I continue to wade into the deep and marvelous waters of the film and television industry, I will work hard to value my love of people as much as my love of television. As a young woman I volunteered with LGBTQ+ student groups, studied the impact of media on women and minorities, and participated in service projects that connected me to individuals from across the world. I would like to utilize these experiences to help make media that helps people and opens up individuals to the experiences of others. I look forward to seeing what that looks like.
