About Lillian Baca

I am a recent graduate of Loyola University Chicago, holding a degree in Psychology, and I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. Throughout my academic journey, I embraced various leadership roles, serving as a Senator in the Student Government of Loyola Chicago and as Vice President of Public Relations and Social Affairs for the LUC Bioethics Club. One of my notable accomplishments includes collaborating with a dedicated team to initiate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) improvements within the Andersonville neighborhood's businesses. We developed a comprehensive DEI survey for the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, supported by Helix Cafe. My practical experience in the mental health field was enriched by my internship at Step Up For Mental Health. Here, I engaged with a diverse community, addressing mental health and poverty-related challenges. I am a proficient communicator, known for my excellent writing and editing skills. I am deeply passionate about mental health advocacy and mindfulness practice. I am now eager to leverage my skills and experiences to drive impactful change in the mental health sector and beyond.
